Throughout the world indigenous peoples are striving for control over
images of themselves. Meanwhile, new technologies and postmodern
aesthetics
are sharpening the copyright issues involved in the dissemination of
moving images.
FILM AND PLACE
What role have film and television played in the creation of a sense of
place, through the representation of specific localities?
FILM AND TIME
What role have film and television played in the creation of a sense of
time and our understanding of historical evolution?
RECENT RESEARCH
Participants are invited to submit abstracts for papers dealing with
other aspects of film and history.
